Stay tuned to enter to win an ARC of my upcoming release Iron Rods- the story about the best little fictional strip club for women in Austin, Texas.

First, here's a sneak peek at Precious Cargo
A tall man in a dark suit led him to the top floor of the hotel. They passed several more men in matching dark suits flanking the hallway and stopped outside a set of wide double doors. Plenty of time to get his pulse in check before seeing Mila. He was former Special Ops and here to do a job, not some angsty teenager dealing with an angry date he’d left at the prom.
His escort gave him the onceover before knocking. Duke hadn’t missed the man’s disdainful smirk.
“We all look like this in the states. Part of our dress code. You’d look like an idiot there.” Duke spoke in English, not caring if the man understood. If this guy and the rest of the security detail were doing a bang-up job in the first place, he’d still be catching fish in the Gulf of Mexico rather than babysitting their boss’s daughter or facing his past.

Now, to enter to win, comment on this post by answering my question:

What do you do when spring finally arrives in your part of the country?

Spring for me means getting out into my flower gardens, pulling weeds and getting soil beneath my fingernails. I love being out in the fresh air and getting a little sun on my face. My dogs enjoy being out there with me, but they much prefer the shade.

    1. I just love roses. I have several in the garden in the backyard, which is protected by a fence. We have so many deer here that roses don't stand a chance unless they're protected. My hydrangeas are looking GREAT now, but I know the Texas heat will have them hating life soon. Water and more water. Thanks so much for writing.

    1. What types of flowers do you grow? I'm in Texas, so some flowers just don't do well here. How about you?

    1. LOVE biking. Do you go on long distance road bike rides or towny rides? I do both, but between me and you, I prefer the towny rides. Those long rides hurt my back end. LOL.

    2. Just little around the local school. They are just learning. Once they really get a hang of it I will invest in a bike myself. Haven't ridden since high school. lol

    1. Oh man. I can't remember the last time I went fishing. But I long for a lazy afternoon on a small boat, line in the water, drifting around a lake. Add a picnic lunch and a cold beverage and you've got as close to perfection as I can imagine.

    1. Kids pools... when I was a kid and saw those little pools outside of the grocery store or walmart, I'd have given my left arm to have my mom buy one and put in our backyard. She did it one year, and that summer was bliss.

    1. LOL. Luckily I only have a front yard with grass any more. Our lawn is small enough to take care of but big enough for that feeling of Zen when looking at the house.

    1. You too? Anymore, my neighbors hire companies to cut their lawns. I still do it the old fashioned way, but now I have an electric trimmer. That sucker does the job and does it well.

    1. Tomatoes...one of my favorites. They're so much better fresh picked than the ones bought at the store. I love nothing better than to cut one up, add a little lemon pepper and pop them in my mouth. Actually, just thinking about that is making my mouth water.

    1. I want to be you! Are you a Colorado woman? There's so much to do outside there. My husband and I are thinking about buying a vacation place somewhere, but we aren't sure where yet. Durango, CO is high on the list. But I saw some places in Montana that look simply beautiful.

    1. Yes! There's nothing better than some fresh air to make the house feel and smell wonderful. I recently hired someone through Groupon to wash the outside of my windows. Holy cow. Who knew my views were so good? LOL
